This report, Understanding ICERD in the Wider Context of the Federal Constitution, Human Rights and Malaysian Society, documents the events and arguments surrounding the proposed ratification of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) in 2018 when the Pakatan Harapan (PH) (Alliance of Hope) was in power at the federal level. This document includes the views of those who wanted Malaysia to ratify ICERD and also those who objected to its ratification.
